RAINHILL CRIME FIGURES FOR MARCH 2005

March 2005 car crime figures for Rainhill are still far too high. Two vehicles were stolen and there were fifteen reported thefts from vehicles. Please ensure that your vehicle is secure with all windows shut and doors locked.

There were also six burglaries and three attempted burglaries during the month of March.

Crime prevention is our number one priority and leaflets are available to assist members of the public in good practice. Please ring Lynne Carberry, Homewatch and Volunteer Coordinator for a free leaflet on 0151 777 6027 or email at lynne.carberry@merseyside.police.uk Posted by Hello

RAINHILL CIVIC SOCIETY AGM

The Annual General Meeting of the Rainhill Civic Society is to take place next Tuesday, April 26th, in the Millenium Centre, starting at 7.30pm. The Chair, Gill Harris, is always trying to expand the Society, and non members are welcome to come along and see first hand how the Society functions.

Once the formal part of the meeting is finished, there will be a talk entitled "Historic Buildings in Rainhill". David Innes, who has just retired from St Helens MBC as Conservation Officer, is well placed to deliver what we are sure will be a most interesting presentation.

We all look forward to seeing you there for what will surely be a very enjoyable evening.
