FREE GUIDED BUS TOUR OF HISTORIC RAILWAYS

Would you like a wonderful day out?? See all the Local Railway History, and as part of the 175th anniversary celebrations of the Liverpool and Manchester Railway, be taken to the Museum of Science and Industry in Manchester to take in the "Riot of Steam" exhibition.

Tickets are strictly limited and can be booked by telephoning the Tourist Information Centre on 01744 755150.

The event takes part on Sunday 18th September 2005 at 09.15hrs departing from Birchley Street, St Helens. The tour involves visits to Rainhill Station and the Trials Exhibition in the library, then travelling in an easterly direction to Sankey Viaduct, Earlstown Station, the Vulcan Village and the Huskisson Memorial at Parkside before the trip into Manchester.
